Responsible for managing hotel relations, Jane will lead the way for integrating Conferma Pay’s pioneering technology within the American market. Jane brings to Conferma Pay almost 20 years of experience in the lodging industry having held global sales management positions with Starwood, Hilton, Kimpton, Carino Hotel Group and most recently Sonesta Hotels. Jane has been involved in all aspects of hotel sales, directing property specific, regional and international efforts which will support Conferma Pay’s growth in the US immensely.
Simon Barker, CEO, and Founder of Conferma Pay commented: “Jane joining our business is an extremely important hire as our expansion within the US continues to accelerate. Jane will be integral to our growth and frictionless processing of virtual cards by liaising with the hotel community and providing consultative services to our customer base.”
August marks the third birthday of Conferma Pay’s award-winning communication service Conferma Pay Connect. The default communication for payment instructions until the release of Conferma Pay Connect was fax with tens of thousands being sent each day.
Providing the opportunity for the hotel to specify their preferred communication method through Conferma Pay Connect has been an unmitigated success on a global scale. Many countries reflect a significant move away from fax with the likes of the UK and Australia boasting over 80% electronic communication.
The US hotel community still has a high fax reliance – one of Jane’s key objectives will be to help achieve the same successes achieved in other key virtual card markets.
Barker went on to say: “We have seen a huge uplift of TMCs utilising our solutions and corporate customers changing buying behaviours to book hotels who are virtual card friendly. We welcome Jane with open arms and look forward to seeing the positive impact a hospitality specialist like Jane will have in the US.”
