About the Role

As a Solutions Architect, your focus will be to drive continual improvement across the Conferma Pay platform. You will form part of the technology governance team, acting as the technical design authority for all development initiatives, ensuring alignment of integration patterns and best practice for the company. You will be the subject matter expert for the Conferma Pay payments platform, defining end-to-end solutions or business offerings to meet product and customer requirements.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Ensure we are technically fit for purpose.
  • Create architecture design artifacts that follow engineering and quality processes, standards, and principles, defining solutions that balance product requirements with information and security requirements.
  • Carry out requirement analysis, determine pre-project feasibility and costing, as well as provide consultancy to product and business development teams.
  • Working with Product Management to translate business requirements into architectural and system requirements.
  • Act as project technical lead and subject matter expert, overseeing all phases of development ensuring design requirements are accurately met.
  • Interact with the customers as the subject matter expert and communicate technical topics to those without a technical background.
  • Proactively assess and undertake research and development activities, liaising with technology vendors and partners as required.
  • Identify and recommend improvements to existing services and architectures, influencing key stakeholders where appropriate.

Skills & Experience

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to multi-task with strong organizational or project management skills
  • Understands a sense of urgency and must be able to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrates innovation; you must exhibit a strong work ethic, lead by example, and bring new ideas to the table.
  • Strong problem-solver with a solutions-oriented mindset; you must be able to think outside the box when challenging technical issues arise.
  • Familiarity with creating and reviewing technical documentation.
  • Strong application development background with exposure to Microsoft .Net technologies, C# or VB
  • Experience with API-Centric architecture, microservices & data integration techniques
  • Experience in web application development: HTML/CSS, JS & common frameworks
  • Experience with SQL & relational databases (queries, basic data extraction and processing, etc.)
  • Identity & Access Management principals & data protection requirements.
  • Experience with the use and secure management of cryptography.
  • Experience of integrating solutions across on-premises and cloud in a hybrid environment.
  • Knowledge of design, analysis, and modelling techniques, ideally within a formalised framework (TOGAF, ArchiMate etc.).
  • Experience working within a PCI-DSS accredited environment.
  • Knowledge of standards and frameworks, both IT and Cyber Security (NIST, SANS, OWASP, ISO 27001, etc.)
  • Experience with Azure DevOps
