Application Security Engineer

Job Title:           Application Security Engineer

About the Role

To support and ensure the ongoing value of the organisation

As an Application Security Engineer, you will support the goals of the business through assurance for the security aspects of the software being developed within the Scrum Teams. You’ll be experienced in software development and have a passion to help assure the confidentiality, integrity and availability of complex software systems as they are rapidly adapted to meet customer needs.

Primary Responsibilities

Application Security Engineers at Conferma Pay are responsible for: 

  • Static Code Analysis review and approval;
  • Developer consultation and training;
  • Software Composition Analysis understanding, including legal issues.
  • Code review;
  • Representation to customers of security posture of code.

Skills & Experience

You have: 

  • Experience of SAST tools, such as Veracode;
  • Significant development experience with .NET (C# preferred), and ideally JavaScript frameworks, SQL Server, and mobile application languages;
  • Knowledge of Good Practice development, including those from OWASP and the FinTech industry.


You are: 

  • An excellent communicator to different stakeholders at a technical and non-technical level;
  • Able to pick up new skills and concepts quickly;
  • Great at problem solving;
  • Detail focussed.
