Conferma Pay, is the world’s foremost provider of virtual payments technology. Founded in 2005, Conferma Pay combines innovation and expertise to push the boundaries of what can be achieved in the world of virtualized business payments.
In the travel space, Conferma Pay connects issuers to more than 700 travel management companies, all three the major global distribution systems and more than 100 online booking tools. Conferma Pay is fully integrated with all the major card schemes and serves 50 banking partners, who have issued Conferma Pay-generated virtual cards in 96 currencies.
We’re committed to an API-first strategy, ensuring our core solutions empower innovators to integrate and pay in their way. Our platform is built to extend the reach of partners enabling them to benefit from the growth of virtual card payments.
A step-change in how corporate cards are distributed, we’re bringing the benefits of instantly issued virtual cards to the wallets of millions of employees, contractors and customers for use in-store, in-app or in-transit via a digital wallet, such as Apple Pay or Google Pay.
Whether you are an issuer or a spend management platform, our solutions enable corporates to harness virtual card payments on leading marketplaces and Procure-to-Pay platforms to pay their suppliers in a more efficient, controlled and data-rich manner.
Over the past decade, our ecosystem has grown, enabling us to become the world’s largest payments platform for virtual cards. We’ve engineered connectivity to over 50 of the world’s best commercial card partners, over 700 travel management companies and over 150 travel technology partners.
For our banking partners, we extended their reach to a wide network of travel and business intermediaries, managing over $500bn in travel.
For our travel partners, we’ve revolutionised their traditional direct bill or billback offerings from labour intensive processes to automated and data rich propositions, lowering both costs and downstream customer fees.
For our technology partners, we’ve enhanced customer affinity towards their platforms by making payments a key differentiator.
Our combined strength in ecosystem growth and partner-management has created a new standard in business payments.
If you could make cards unique for every purchase, you could match booking data with payment data, then you could bring those two things together to gain complete visibility.
To achieve that, you need to make sure you have all parties in the network connected in one ecosystem. That`s what we do.
We are positioned in the middle of the relationship between business purchasing platforms and issuing banks.
Any of these originating points, whether it`s an airline website, a mobile device, a TMC, OBT or the GDS directly, can securely access a consistent payment vehicle for the corporation. Simply put, you decide where you want to originate the payment and how you want to control the card, where you want to add funds, where you want to make the card available for billing.
Banks and card schemes around the world can participate in our network and we will flow their virtual cards into anywhere that we are connected to. Today, we collect data from all major business purchasing platforms and provide matched transactions across the ecosystem.
Our network includes organisations like eNett, a pre-paid solution, right through to US Bank who work with a large corporate customer base across the US market. We make no differentiation between our banking partners; they are all equally loved.
This approach provides maximum flexibility as well as a consistent payment process throughout the entire ecosystem.
When a corporation makes a travel purchase through any of our partner platforms, the system requests Conferma Pay to deliver a virtual card with a set of associated controls.
Those controls may be date range, monetary value or merchant category restriction. Any card will only be issued when the level of data meets the requirements agreed between Conferma Pay and the selected purchasing platform. Conferma Pay then returns a virtual card number to be placed into the purchasing process with the hotel, the airline or another merchant. The merchant then charges that card and the transaction data is received and stored by Conferma Pay.
Through this secure process, access to all booking information received at the point of request is matched to the financial information when the card was billed. The consolidated information is then delivered to our banking partners and the corporate customers. Because this process is completed at the point of sale, there is no need for third-party files to be collected or processed.
This level of integration allows Conferma Pay to capture all transaction data in one place, so when a traveller returns to the office, their expense claim is completed without manual work.
We help organisations capture spend that has previously been managed from an employee’s personal cashflow or an alternative payment method, ensuring your business retains full spend visibility and control.
